      CALMOAA & MOAA CHAPTERS 2008-Present

      President CALMOAA Sept 24, 2016 to Present  

      CALMOAA provides direct and indirect support to our 41 affiliated chapters and is an effective platform for supporting the military community. (Active and Reserve Forces, Retired and Former members and their surviving spouses) CALMOAA has over 4,000 paid members in 2016.

      President of Hidden Valley Chapter of MOAA 2015 to present. This Escondido Chapter of MOAA CA-54 was on the verge of folding in 2015. We revived this chapter by successful recruiting, teamwork and community events.

      Area 8 Vice President 2014, we have five chapters: Miramar, Escondido, San Diego, Pendleton, and Sweetwater. We hosted Admiral Norbert Ryan USN Ret at out CALMOAA luncheon at MCAS Miramar Officer’s Club. In 2014, I actively participated in MOAA Storming the Hill in Washington, D.C.

      President of Miramar Chapter of MOAA  (2012-2013.)  In 2013, CA-20 was voted # 1 chapter of the 401 MOAA Chapters in USA. I have guided MOAA Chapters, Director and VP of CALMOAA for over last nine years. 

      XEROX CAREER 1985-2008

      Marketing & Sales Career (23 years) at Xerox Corporation. Xerox has revenues of 18.04 billion and 140,000 employees as of 31 December 2015. www.xerox.com

      Director of Marketing at Xerox’s Vista Laboratories in Pasadena, California. Xerox Presidents Club for five years. Dave was awarded the Xerox Outstanding Cooperation Award.

      UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS

      Lieutenant Colonel David Yorck had 24 years active duty and reserve duty in USMC. Led seven commands in war and peace. Infantry Platoon, Company commander in Vietnam. Advisor PRU Binh Long Province, Republic of Vietnam  (CIA funded Phoenix Program). Battalion Commander 5/14, 4th Marine Division. Last active duty billet, I Marine Expeditionary Force, G-2 Area studies officer at Camp Pendleton and Al Jubal, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during Desert Storm.

      Staff Jobs, Operations Officer and Recruiting HQMC, 4th Marine Division, New Orleans, 9th Marine Corps District, Overland Park, Kansas, 8th Marines MCB Camp Lejeune and Guantanamo Bay Naval Base.

      MILITARY AWARDS

      Bronze Star with Combat V and Gold Star in Lieu of Second Bronze Star with Combat V. Navy/USMC Parachute Badge

      Meritorious Service Medal for outstanding service as Battalion Commander of 8 Inch Howitzer Battalion.

      USMC Combat Action Ribbon for Vietnam and Desert Storm

      Saint Barbara Military Medal of Artillery Excellence

      FAMILY

      Married Francine Dadashi Yorck May 5, 1980. They have 5 children and 7 grandkids. David and Francine live in Carmel Valley, San Diego since September 1, 1995.
